Air Force vs Wright State Prediction

Wright State is possibly the more talented team, but we’re getting free double-digit points with an Air Force squad that returns all five of its starters. That’s rare in today’s college basketball and should pay off greatly, at least early in the season. You can make money with these teams that bring back a great deal of production. Most teams around the country hit the portal hard and will look different. A lot of roster turnover usually leads to adjustments and sloppy play early. Teams are adjusting on the fly. Not the case for Air Force. Give me the points.

Air Force Falcons Betting Preview

Air Force won three games last season and enters the Joe Crispin era. Air Force has won 16 games over the last three seasons.

Kam Sanders returns after averaging 12.5 points and 4.2 rebounds, while Lucas Hobin averaged 11.4 points and 2 rebounds. Caleb Walker is the third returning scorer to average double digits, and Eli Robinson played 868 minutes last season. Air Force returns nearly its entire roster from last season, including all five starters. That’s rare in today’s college basketball and should lead to success. The Falcons will emphasize up-tempo play and better efficiency after ranking near the bottom nationally in scoring. Air Force should see improvement across the board with the chemistry on the roster.

Wright State Raiders Betting Preview

Wright State made the big dance last season and enters year three under coach Clint Sargent. Wright State has never made the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons.

Dominic Pangonis returns after averaging 8.9 points and 2.6 rebounds, while Kellen Pickett averaged 8.5 points and 5.4 rebounds. Andrea Holden played in 498 minutes last season and is the only other returning player. Wright State lost a lot of high-level production, but there are nice depth pieces returning, including Pickett, who was Horizon League Freshman of the Year. Wright State is the top contender in the Horizon League with a realistic path to another regular-season title and back-to-back trips to the big dance.
