West Georgia Wolves Betting Preview
The Wolves’ season hasn’t gone very well so far—to put it mildly—but things have gone slightly better since early December. West Georgia hit a 0-10 skid to kick things off. The losses in that time were versus Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee Tech, South Florida, Troy, Georgia Southern, Utah Valley, North Dakota State, Samford, and Mercer. Since then it’s been a 3-3 stretch for the Wolves. The wins in that time were over Tennessee Tech, Brewton-Parker, and Austin Peay. Otherwise, it was losses to Charlotte, Florida Gulf Coast, and Stetson in that time for a 3-13 record overall this season for West Georgia.
In the Austin Peay matchup back on Thursday, the Wolves entered the locker room with a 34-30 halftime edge. West Georgia kept the pace from there on a 38-38 run and took the victory in the end 72-68. Leading the team in scoring was Shelton Williams-Dryden with 27 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Rickey Ballard added 13 points with 10 rebounds and two assists, while Tauris Watson chipped in nine points with one rebound in 32 minutes of work.
Lipscomb Bisons Betting Preview
Over on the Lipscomb side, they started out on a very rough run themselves. To their credit, however, the Bisonn have gotten much better since late November. Lipscomb hit a 2-4 opening this year with wins over only Duquesne and Wofford. The losses otherwise were versus Arkansas, Belmont, Western Kentucky, and Kentucky. Since then it’s been an 8-2 stretch over the last 10 games. Lipscomb has losses to Middle Tennessee and Queens NC in that time. The wins otherwise came over Jackson State, Alabama A&M, Chattanooga, Southeast Missouri State, Truett McConnell, Asbury, Jacksonville, and North Florida for a 10-5 run so far.
In the Queens game back on Thursday, the Bisons entered halftime with a four-point advantage 32-28. Lipscomb was outpaced the rest of the way 47-41 however, and took the eventual loss 75-73 in the end. Leading the team in the losing effort was Gyasi Powell with 16 points and two boards. Both Dylan Faulkner (eight rebounds) and Jacob Ognacevic (three rebounds; one assist) had 15 points apiece. Joe Anderson chipped in nine points in 33 minutes as well.

West Georgia vs Lipscomb Prediction
I’m going to stay with Lipscomb. The line's a little too thick to mess with, though. The Bisons slowed down in the second half against a pretty decent Queens team in their last matchup, despite shooting 47.3 percent from the field and 13-of-16 (81.3 percent) from the line. The big discrepancy in that one was the 41-27 rebounding deficit (18-8 offensive), which could lead to trouble in close games down the line. That said, Lipscomb has been scoring well lately with 70 or more points in nine of their last 10 games (an 8-2 stretch). Another good offensive performance like that will set the Bisons up well here.
As for West Georgia, they shot a nice 52.7 percent from the field with a 38-36 rebounding edge in a much-needed win over Austin Peay their last time out. The Wolves have been below 69 points in two of the last three games however, so they may not be able to keep a sufficient pace on Saturday.
