Nevada Wolf Pack Betting Preview
This year the Wolf Pack have six wins in eight games, taking out Sam Houston, Washington, Weber State, Santa Clara, VCU, and Oklahoma State in that time. The two losses were versus Vanderbilt and Washington State.
In the Washington State game on Monday, the Wolf Pack were down by 10 at halftime. Nevada didn’t end up getting any closer on a 68-57 loss in the end. Kobe Sanders was the team’s leading scorer with 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
LMU Lions Betting Preview
Over on the LMU side, they beat Life Pacific in their opener then fell to UC Irvine, Saint Louis, and North Dakota in the next three. Since then it’s been wins over Belmont and Wyoming before another loss to Colorado State.
Matched up against Colorado State on Wednesday, the Lions were demolished 46-20 in the first half. LMU was outscored 37-34 from there and limped to a blowout loss of 83-54. Will Johnston was the team’s top scorer on 12 points and two rebounds.

Why the Nevada Wolf Pack will win
- Loyola Marymount has lost each of its last four night games against non-conference opponents at Gersten Pavilion.
- Nevada has won each of its last four away games when playing with a rest advantage.
- Nevada has won the first half in four of its last five games against the West Coast Conference.
Nevada vs LMU Prediction
I’ll stay with Nevada. The Wolf Pack needs a good bounce-back effort after that Washington State loss, though. Nevada shot just 38.6 percent from the field with 15 turnovers in that one. It was the second time in three games that the Wolf Pack had fallen below 65 points, so a high-total finish Saturday would be a promising sign.
As for LMU, they were trounced by a decent Colorado State team in their last game, shooting just 33.9 percent from the field and 4-of-21 (19 percent) from 3-point range. Prior to that, however, the Lions had scored 71 or more points in four straight. I don’t think LMU will quite hit that threshold if Nevada is playing well on Saturday, though.
Andrew’s Pick Nevada Wolf Pack -10.5
