Siena Saints Betting Preview

This year the Saints won their first three games versus Brown, Bryant, and American then hit a four-game losing streak. After falling to Albany, Xavier, Miami-OH and Jacksonville, Siena finally got another win over Bucknell.

Back on Saturday matched up against Bucknell, the Saints got off to a 31-21 halftime edge. After a 40-37 run from there, Siena took the win 71-58. Leading team scorer Major Freeman put up 21 points with three rebounds and two assists.

Niagara Purple Eagles Betting Preview

Over on the Niagara side, they beat Houghton in their opener then fell to Michigan State, Detroit, Bowling Green, and Kent State. Since then it’s been wins over Binghamton and LIU around a loss to Lafayette.

In the LIU game, the Eagles were up by five points at the break. Following a 33-30 run in the second, Niagara had the win 60-52. Tops in scoring was Jahari Williamson with 15 points and four rebounds off the bench.

Siena vs Niagara Prediction

I’ll take a stab at Siena but I’m probably not touching this one. The Saints finally had a solid outing versus Bucknell in their last game, shooting 46.5 percent from the field and a nice 23-of-28 (82.1 percent) from the line. It was Siena’s highest-scoring outing (71) since November 12 versus American—their last win.

As for Niagara, they shot 48.8 percent versus a struggling LIU team in their last outing. The Eagles had a 33-25 rebounding edge as well but also had 15 turnovers. Niagara has been below 66 points in three straight games but they’ve gone 2-1 in that time by limiting offense on the other side. Siena is going to have to work hard to get those buckets, but I like the Saints to pull it off.
