Temple Owls Betting Preview

The Owls posted a rough campaign a season ago, notching a 16-20 record overall with a 5-13 run in the AAC. Temple finished ahead of Wichita State, Rice, and UTSA in the standings. After a nice conference tourney run, the Owls fell to UAB in the championship game.

In their first action of the 2024-25 season, the Owls took on Sacred Heart. Temple held a slim one-point advantage by the break but then hit 44 more points from there in an 81-70 win. Monmouth Hawks Betting Preview

I’m going to stay with Temple. The Owls started out a little slowly against Sacred Heart in their opener, but eventually found their groove. Temple hit a nice 47.8 percent (11-of-23) from 3-point range and 49.1 percent from the floor. There’s plenty to work on, though: Temple was out-rebounded 40-34 (15-7 offensive) and had 16 turnovers.

As for Monmouth, they realistically weren’t going to hang with Michigan State. The Hawks ended up shooting just 27.9 percent from the field and had a 48-31 rebounding deficit. I expect Monmouth to look better here, but I don’t think they’ll cover it.
