The Montreal Alouettes are 1-0 this year after they defeated the Tiger-Cats by a score of 30-27 in overtime last week. Montreal trailed 17-10 at halftime and 24-17 in the fourth quarter, but they were able to force overtime and get the narrow win. The Alouettes out gained Hamilton by a total of 401-339, went 10-21 on second down, and won the turnover battle 2-0. Davis Alexander threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns, while Tyler Snead caught nine passes for 163 yards and one score in the game.The Alouettes went 10-8 last season and they finished with 20 points, which was second in the East Division behind Hamilton. The Alouettes scored 445 points in the season and they allowed 430. Montreal started the season with three straight wins and they were 5-2 through seven games, but they had some injuries and lost five straight, before finishing the season strong. The Alouettes defeated the Blue Bombers and Tiger-Cats in the playoffs, before losing to the Roughriders in the Grey Cup.
