In this article we will formulate an Alouettes vs Tiger-Cats prediction for this CFL game on Thursday, June 4th at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this CFL matchup.

Montreal Alouettes Betting Preview

The Montreal Alouettes went 10-8 last season and they finished with 20 points, which was second in the East Division behind Hamilton. The Alouettes scored 445 points in the season and they allowed 430. Montreal started the season with three straight wins and they were 5-2 through seven games, but they had some injuries and lost five straight, before finishing the season strong. The Alouettes defeated the Blue Bombers and Tiger-Cats in the playoffs, before losing to the Roughriders in the Grey Cup.

This season, Montreal will have Davis Alexander back at quarterback, but all eyes will be on his health after battling injuries last year. The Alouettes should have a very strong offensive line and the running game will be fine, but the receiving group needs to stay healthy. On defense, the Alouettes should have a very strong group, but there are some questions in the defensive backfield.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats Betting Preview

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats were 11-7 last year and they finished first in the East Division with 22 points. Hamilton scored 525 points during the year and they allowed 496 points against. The Tiger-Cats were 0-2 through two weeks, but they rattled off six straight wins, before going 5-5 in the final 10 games. Hamilton didn’t play the best defense, but their offense was elite for most of the season, as they scored at least 26 points in six of their last eight regular season games. The Tiger-Cats had a bye in the first round of the playoffs, but they lost to the Alouettes by a score of 19-16 in the East Final.

This year, Hamilton will have Bo Levi Mitchell at quarterback, who is one of the top passing quarterbacks in the CFL. The Tiger-Cats do have to replace their starting running back from last year, but the wide receiver group is very strong and the passing attack will be ready to go. On defense, Hamilton needs to show improvement when it comes to points per game and while the “front seven” are solid, I am worried about the defensive backs.

2025 Matchups

Last year, Hamilton defeated Montreal by a score of 35-17 at home in week four and they won again in week 14 on the road by a score of 26-9. The Tiger-Cats outscored the Alouettes by a total of 61-26 in the regular season, but they lost 19-16 in the playoffs, which was a home game for Hamilton.

Alouettes vs Tiger-Cats Prediction

Montreal comes into this matchup with a ton of momentum after making the Grey Cup last season and they are relatively healthy, but they will be on the road here. The Alouettes did beat Hamilton on the road in the playoffs, but while that game was low scoring, I expect plenty of points here. I love both of these quarterbacks and I think this game could turn into a shootout, especially with some uncertainly surrounding the Hamilton defense. Take the over here.
