The Tribe have started things out well after one game this year, finishing off VMI 41-7 last week. William & Mary went into halftime up 28-7 and cruised from there. QB Darius Wilson notched 190 yards and two scores, and Bronson Yoder led the rush with 54 yards and a TD.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Betting Preview

Over on the Coastal Carolina side, they put up an 8-5 overall record last year with a 5-3 showing in Sun Belt matchups. The Chanticleers finished behind James Madison and Appalachian State in the East Division but did win the Hawaii Bowl 24-14 over San Jose State.

I’m going to lean toward Coastal Carolina. This should be a pretty fun matchup, though. The Chanticleers managed a great 552 total yards (258 passing) on offense, along with 25 first downs. The 5-of-13 on third downs and two turnovers could stand to be improved, but overall it was a nice effort.

As for William & Mary, they got a lot of different players in on the action during their game-one win. Ten players had at least one catch, and eight rushers had at least one carry (including two of the three QBs). The Tribe should match up pretty well with the Chanticleers if both teams play to their capabilities. It’ll be a good one to watch, and I like Coastal to eke out a cover.
