Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Betting Preview
Last year the Bulldogs had a pretty solid campaign. Louisiana Tech ended up finishing 8-5 overall with a 5-3 run in Conference USA games. That would put the Bulldogs in fourth place behind Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State and Western Kentucky. LA Tech ended the year with a win over Coastal Carolina in the Independence Bowl.
In their first matchup of the 2026 campaign versus Northwestern State, the Bulldogs dumped an astonishing 42 points in the second quarter during a ridiculous 80-6 blowout win. QB Blake Baker was 10-of-14 for 232 yards and three scores while Trey Kukuk had five carries for 50 yards.
LSU Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the LSU side, they had a disappointing campaign marred by offensive breakdowns in 2025. The Tigers ended up at just 7-6 overall with a 3-5 run in SEC games. LSU would land ahead of only Kentucky, Florida, Auburn, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Arkansas in the standings with that result.
The Tigers got off to an easy start this year by blowing out Clemson. LSU scored points in every quarter during a 51-10 win. QB Sam Leavitt was 16-of-28 for 230 yards, one TD and one pick while Dillin Jones had 23 carries for 113 yards and two scores. Leavitt had 12 carries for 113 yards and two more rush scores himself.

Louisiana Tech vs LSU Prediction
I’ll just stick with LSU. The Tigers rolled right past Clemson in their opener this year, racking up 644 yards (309 rushing), 6.9 yards per play, 38 first downs and an 11-of-16 success rate on third downs. LSU gave up just 145 yards on defense with 3.0 yards per play, eight first downs and 1-of-13 on third downs allowed. Not too shabby.
As for LA Tech, they wrecked an overmatched Northwestern State team with 528 yards, 232 rush yards, 8.9 yards per play and 23 first downs. On defense the Bulldogs surrendered just 129 yards, 2.1 yards per play and seven first downs. All of that said, playing LSU in a road game is going to be a completely different animal. LA Tech is in for a rough day.
