I was left disappointed with Southern Miss against Mississippi State in the second half, but I still think Southern Miss is a capable squad with a lot of upside that just didn’t live up to expectation in game one. Jackson State is a solid FCS team, but I think this is a good spot for Southern Miss to build some confidence at home entering conference play. Give me Southern Miss.
