Cincinnati Bearcats Betting Preview

Over on the Cincinnati side, they went 3-1 over their first four outings. The lone blemish was a 28-27 loss to Pittsburgh among wins over Towson 38-20, Miami-OH 27-16 and Houston 34-0. Game five was another loss, this time 44-41 versus Texas Tech.

In last Saturday’s game versus UCF, the Bearcats scored points in every quarter on the way to a tight win 19-13. Brendan Sorsby threw for 241 yards with a TD and two interceptions (with a rush score). Corey Kiner carried 17 times for 83 yards as the leading rusher.

I’m going with Arizona State. The Sun Devils posted an impressive effort against a good Utah team in their last outing. The offense notched 343 total yards (176 rushing) and 6.0 yards per play but only 15 first downs and 5-of-13 on third-down tries. The three interceptions from the defense really helped push Arizona State over the top, though.

As for Cincinnati, they had some ugly moments in their win over UCF last weekend (and benefitted from 10 Knights penalties) but everything worked out well. The Bearcats managed 338 total yards with 19 first downs and 33:44 in time of possession. So long as the Sun Devils don’t suffer a hangover this weekend though, I think Arizona State covers/wins in the end.
