South Carolina Gamecocks Betting Preview
The Gamecocks got off to a nice start this year with a pair of wins 23-19 over Old Dominion and 31-6 versus Kentucky. After a tough loss 36-33 to LSU on September 14, South Carolina managed a 50-7 blowout win over Akron in game four.
In the Ole Miss matchup last weekend, South Carolina fell behind 24-3 by halftime. The Gamecocks couldn’t gain any ground from there in a 27-3 blowout loss. LaNorris Sellers posted 162 passing yards and a pick while also leading the rush on 55 yards in the defeat.
Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Preview
Over on the Alabama side, they blew out Western Kentucky 63-0 in their opener, then beat South Florida handily 42-16. The Crimson Tide would keep it going with a 42-10 blowout win versus Wisconsin and a 41-34 victory over a great Georgia team in the next pair.
Matched up against Vanderbilt, Alabama was down 23-14 by halftime and ended up losing a shocker 40-35. Jalen Milroe threw for 310 passing yards, one TD, and one pick. Jamarion Miller led the rush with 45 yards and two scores, while Ryan Williams caught three balls for 82 yards and a TD.

South Carolina vs Alabama Prediction
I’ll stay with Alabama. The Tide are coming off a rough road loss though, and they’ll need a good bounce-back effort this weekend. Alabama gave up 418 yards (252 passing), 26 first downs and a 12-of-18 clip on third-down tries to the Commodores last weekend. Offensively the Tide held the ball for just 17:52 and had a pair of turnovers. It was certainly an uncharacteristic performance.
As for South Carolina, they gained just 162 pass yards (313 total) in their loss to Ole Miss alongside eight penalties and two turnovers. The Gamecocks had scored 31 or more points in three straight games prior to that. This weekend against an angry Alabama team, points won’t be easy to come by. I don’t think the Gamecocks will keep pace.
