The Atlanta Dream and the Minnesota Lynx meet Saturday in WNBA action from the Target Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s an Atlanta Dream vs. Minnesota Lynx prediction.
Matchup History
The Atlanta Dream won the most recent meeting between these two teams back on August 21st, 2025, by a final score of 75-73 to make it back-to-back wins in this head-to-head matchup.
Atlanta Dream Team Preview
The Atlanta Dream enter the 2026 season looking to take another step forward after setting a franchise record with 30 wins and tying for second place, but the Dream suffered a shocking first-round exit at the hands of the Indiana Fever. To shake things up and replace the departing Brittney Griner, Atlanta made a massive offseason trade to acquire Angel Reese, the league’s top individual rebounder over the last two years. While Reese’s presence down low should supercharge an already elite rebounding unit, the Dream have to navigate a massive injury hurdle with starting forward Brionna Jones out indefinitely following knee surgery. If stars Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard can carry the offensive load, and Howard can bounce back with her best 3-point shooting season yet, this team has the talent to go deep. Only time will tell if the new-look core of Gray, Howard, and Reese can find the right chemistry to finally push past the semifinals and bring a championship run to Atlanta in 2026.
Minnesota Lynx Team Preview
The Minnesota Lynx enter the 2026 season looking for redemption after a heartbreaking end to their league-best 34-10 campaign last year. After cruising past Golden State in the first round, a left ankle injury to Napheesa Collier, a blown 20-point lead, and a Game 4 suspension for head coach Cheryl Reeve ultimately derailed their championship hopes in the semifinals against Phoenix. The biggest hurdle heading into this season is navigating the roster turnover and Collier’s recovery, as the MVP runner-up is sidelined until at least June following ankle surgery. Minnesota also lost key starters Bridget Carleton, Alanna Smith, and Jessica Shepard, putting immense pressure on returning stars Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams to carry the load early. Fortunately, the Lynx boast the league’s longest-tenured coach in Reeve, who will look to integrate some international talent alongside highly touted rookie point guard Olivia Miles. Only time will tell if Miles can live up to Rookie of the Year expectations and if the Lynx can weather the storm on the glass without Collier and their departed post players to secure another deep playoff run in 2026.

Atlanta Dream vs. Minnesota Lynx Prediction
I’m on the Dream here. I first thought this line was a bit of a slap in the face to the Lynx, that the Dream just were getting this number because of their improvement, but then you sit back and think about the lost production for the Lynx and we saw at the best of times, the Lynx struggled to find offense without Collier in the lineup, and that’s going to be an issue here. The Dream were very hit or miss/boom or bust last season, but there’s no denying they improved their roster with the addition of Reese inside and I think the Dream take care of business to start the year. Give me the Dream in this one.
