Fabio Fognini overcame a mid-match collapse from a position of total dominance to prevail in his semifinal against De La Torre in three sets.

Fognini led 6-4, 4-1 before he lost four straight games and eventually the second set in a tie-break. But the Italian did not let that disappointment of throwing his lead dampen his spirits and regrouped to take the decider 6-0.

Lukas Neumayer is through to his fourth ATP Challenger final of his career here in Montemar.

The Austrian suffered almost a similar fate to Fognini as he led Pol Martin Tiffon 6-3, 5-4, 40-0 and squandered three match points. He was broken broken twice towards the end of the second set. 

The World No. 259 made amends in the third set, getting an early break and setting the tone for a comfortable win in the end. 

Neumayer hit three aces and three double faults in the match. He landed 57% of first serves and won 71% of first-serve points (39/55).
