New Coach for the Jets

Last season the Jets finished with a 52-24-6 record but they were bounced in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Rick Bowness retired from the team after the loss and it comes in Scott Arniel who was an associate coach the last couple of years. The good news for the Jets is this is still a team that is loaded with talent including Connor Hellebuyck who is entering the first year of his seven-year deal. He was lights out last season and he’s going to need to start the season strong. If he can be good again this season, this team has a chance to win the Stanley Cup. Mark Scheifele finished with 72 points last season and he needs to have a huge season. The Jets will face the Blackhawks, Wild, Sharks, and Penguins after this game.

Can the Oilers Get it Done This Year?

The Oilers were one win away from winning the Stanley Cup Last year, but they lost the Game 7 and now they have to start back over at square one. The good news for the Oilers is this team is pretty similar to last year’s team. Adam Henrique, Mattias Janmark, Corey Perry, Connor Brown, Troy Stecher, and Calvin Pickard all came back on new contracts and they hope they can get the job done this year. Stuart Skinner is the number one goalie for this team now, and they are going to need him to have a big year. In this game, the Oilers’ offense is going to need to get out to a fast start to try and put the pressure on. The Oilers will take on the Blackhawks and Flames.

Winnipeg Jets vs Edmonton Oilers Prediction

This total is a bit too low. Skinner is the number one goalie and he’s going to have a huge game here. The Jets offense is going to really struggle to get the offense going here, and that is going to be the difference here. The Oilers offense also isn’t going to be running up the score. Neither team is going to score more than three goals and this game is going to end up staying under the total.
