The 49ers defeated the Eagles by a score of 23-19 in the first round, but lost to the Seahawks by a score of 41-6 in the second round. SF scored 25.7 points per game in 2025, while they allowed 21.8 points against per game on defense. 

Last season, San Francisco went 2-1 in the preseason, which was tied for first in the NFC West with the Rams and Cardinals. The 49ers lost to the Broncos by a score of 30-9, defeated the Raiders 22-19, and defeated the Chargers 30-23 in their three preseason games. The Titans come into this matchup as the slight favorite after they announced their starters would play for at least a little bit in this one. Tennessee is trying to find some success this season, which has not been easy for them to find recently. San Francisco had a very good 2025 season and they won’t want to risk injury during the preseason, at least any more than they have to. I think the Titans are going to take this game way more serious than the 49ers and I like them to get the win here.
