Dallas will rest most of their starters for this game, which means we won’t see Dak under center. The Cowboys will have Sam Howell and Joe Milton at the quarterback spot, as they are competing for the backup role.

The Seattle Seahawks were 14-3 last year and they finished first in the NFC West, which was two games ahead of the Rams in second. Seattle lost their first game of the season and they were just 3-2 through five weeks, but they won 11 of their last 12 games. The Seahawks ended the regular season by winning seven games in a row and they allowed 16 points or fewer in five of their last six. Seattle defeated the 49ers 41-6, defeated the Rams 31-27, and defeated the Patriots 29-13 in the playoffs, as they won the Super Bowl. The Seahawks scored 28.4 points per game in 2025, while they allowed 17.2 points against per game on defense, which was the best in the NFL. 

Last year, Seattle went 1-1-1 in the preseason, which was last in the NFC West. The Seahawks tied the Raiders 23-23, defeated the Chiefs 33-16, and lost to the Packers 20-7 in their three preseason games. Seattle will also rest most of their starters, so we won’t see Sam Darnold in the game. The Seahawks will have Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe at the quarterback spot. 

Cowboys vs Seahawks Prediction 

Seattle comes into this matchup after winning the Super Bowl in 2025, but they were just 1-1-1 last preseason. The Seahawks have a decent QB duo for this game, as Lock has experience and Milroe is a dual threat QB. Dallas had a disappointing 2025 season and they need improvement from their defense. The Cowboys have a battle for the backup QB spot, so each rep is important for Howell and Milton. I like backing teams that have an active battle for a QB spot, so give me the Cowboys here.
