The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Cleveland Cavaliers do battle at the Rocket Arena on Monday night.
Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder have cooled off from their hot start to the season as they are now looking to avoid a third straight defeat after getting trampled by the Rockets in a 119-98 road defeat on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 26 points on 10 of 20 shooting, Kenrich Williams added 11 points while Isaiah Hartenstein chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds. As a team, the Thunder shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 32 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep pace with the Rockets from the start and leaked an uncharacteristic 35 points in the first quarter to fall behind right away and things only got tougher in the second half. Ajay Mitchell finished with just six points on three of nine shooting and the Thunder got next to no support from their bench with Jaylin Williams scoring just three points on one of six shooting.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great form as they’ve won four of their last five games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Bucks in a 136-111 road win on Saturday. Evan Mobley led the team with 27 points on 11 of 16 shooting, Jarrett Allen added 25 points with 11 rebounds on 12 of 16 shooting while Donovan Mitchell chipped in with 15 points on five of seven shooting. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 52 percent from the field and 20 of 46 from the 3-point line as they took care of business early, exploding for a season-high 48 points in the second quarter to lead by as many as 36 points before they pulled their starters extra early.
Oklahoma City v Cleveland Free Prediction
The Thunder are still missing a bunch of players including Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso and Cason Wallace, while the Cavaliers have ruled out Jaylon Tyson and they are keeping an eye on Peyton Watson who is questionable with a hamstring injury. The Thunder have been hit hard by the injury bug and it has cost them two games already as they don’t have a healthy second scoring option available right now. In contrast, the Cavaliers are relatively healthy, they are already on a roll and they looked great in their first blowout win of the season on Saturday. The line is short for this one, so I will stick with the Cavaliers to take full advantage of this severely depleted Thunder outfit.
