The Toronto Raptors travel to the Target Center to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night.
Toronto Raptors Betting Preview
The Toronto Raptors are already emerging as one of the hottest teams in the league as they are now going for a third straight victory following their 112-102 road win over the Wizards on Friday. Scottie Barnes led the team with 28 points, 14 rebounds and five assists, RJ barrett tallied 23 points with nine rebounds and four assists on nine of 16 shooting while Kawhi Leonard chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Raptors shot 44 percent from the field and seven of 34 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early with 34 points in the first quarter to take a 17-point lead. The Raptors allowed the Wizards back into the contest in the third quarter, but they never truly looked threatened and they never trailed at any point in the game.
Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be eager to stay undefeated after blowing past the Magic in a 115-93 road victory on Friday for their second straight win. Jaden McDaniels and Anthony Ewards led the team in scoring with just 15 points each, Ayo Doscunmu and Rudy Gobert each scored 14 points while LaMelo Ball chipped in with 12 points and five assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot just 43 percent from the field and 14 of 37 from the 3-point line which aren’t impressive numbers, but they were rock-solid on defense, especially in the third quarter where they restricted the Magic to just 15 points to open up a 26-point lead.
Toronto v Minnesota Free Prediction
The Raptors are still missing Nate Bittle, while the Timberwolves have ruled out Donte DiVincenzo once again. The Raptors have been near flawless through their first two games of the season with Leonard back in uniform and you could say the same about the Timberwolves with Edwards leading the way. These teams met twice last season with the Timberwolves winning on both occasions so I get why they are slight favorites at home, but the Raptors look like the stronger unit right now and I think they are great value as the underdogs here.
