Pistons vs Hornets Prediction

The Pistons have ruled out Jalen Duren again, with Isaiah Joe listed as questionable, while the Hornets are still missing Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams. The Pistons enter this contest as the clear favorites based on recent form, but the Hornets probably should have beaten the 76ers in their last outing, so an upset here is still possible.

The Pistons are the better team right now, and they have the slight advantage of an extra day’s rest, so I will happily stick with the more consistent Pistons to get the win and cover at the short line.

Detroit Pistons Betting Preview

The Detroit Pistons have hit the ground running this season with five wins from their six games, and they will be eager to keep it going after running past the lowly Nets in a 110-94 road win on Friday. Cade Cunningham led the team with 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists; Ronald Holland II provided the spark off the bench with 18 points, while Duncan Robinson chipped in with 17 points and three steals.

As a team, the Pistons shot just 42 percent from the field and 12 of 41 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a 35-21 second-quarter effort to overcome a slow start, and they kept applying the pressure until the lead ballooned to 30 points at one stage.

Charlotte Hornets Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have cooled off from their hot start to the season as they have now lost three in a row after falling painfully short to the 76ers in a 109-104 home defeat on Saturday. Grayson Allen drained seven 3-pointers to lead the scoring with 27 points on nine of 12 shooting off the bench; Brandon Miller added 24 points with five assists while Naz Reid chipped in with 14 points.

As a team, the Hornets shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to take a seven-point lead after squandering an early 13-point lead, but they went cold when it mattered most and scored just three points in the final 3:10 to allow the 76ers off the hook in the end. Dennis Schroder had a night to forget as he shot just one of 11 from the field and zero of six from the 3-point for his four points and four turnovers.
