Jazz vs Pelicans Prediction

The Jazz have ruled out Trey Alexander, Jaren Jackson Jr and Jusuf Nurkic, with Mo Bamba listed as questionable, while the Pelicans have ruled out Yves Missi once again. These teams last met on Oct. 23, and it was the Jazz who won by 120-119 behind a game-high 24 points from Jackson Jr. The Pelicans won’t have to contend with Jackson Jr. this time around, and they’ve been the better team since that meeting as they’ve won three in a row and just dealt the Grizzlies their first defeat of the season.

The Jazz are still banged up right now, and they’ve yet to win a road game, so I will stick with the rising Pelicans to get their revenge in this spot.

Utah Jazz Betting Preview

The Utah Jazz have really struggled so far as they’ve lost six of their first seven games of the season, and they will be hoping to put an end to an ugly five-game losing streak after getting embarrassed by the Spurs in a 119-97 road defeat on Monday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 22 points on eight-of-16 shooting while Darryn Peterson added 14 points with six assists, but no other player finished in double figures in points.

As a team, the Jazz shot just 35 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and scored just 16 points in the first quarter to trail by 10 points at halftime, and things only got worse in the third quarter, where they got outscored by 35-20 to trail by as many as 26 points. Keyonte George struggled all night to finish with just seven points on three-of-12 shooting while Ace Bailey shot just two of 11 for his five points.

New Orleans Pelicans Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans lost their first four games of the season, but it looks like they have turned things around as they are already gunning for a fourth straight victory after outlasting the undefeated Grizzlies in a 135-134 overtime win on Monday. Zion Williamson led the team with 25 points and 11 rebounds on nine of 15 shooting; Karlo Matkovic added 24 points on nine of 13 shooting; Derik Queen scored 20 points off the bench, while Saddiq Bey and Trey Murphy III each scored 18 points.

As a team, the Pelicans shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 37 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble after they squandered a nine-point lead at the end of the fourth quarter, but they regrouped and made up for it in the overtime period, where Jeremiah Fears nailed the game-winning free throws with just 7.1 seconds left on the clock.
