The Philadelphia 76ers travel to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to take on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview

The Philadelphia 76ers kicked off their season with three straight wins before they got stopped in their tracks by the Pistons in a 106-93 home defeat on Sunday. Tyrese Maxey led the team with 29 points, five rebounds and four assists, LeBron James added 18 points with five assists while Jaylen Brown chipped in with 16 points and four assists. As a team, the 76ers shot just 40 percent from the field and seven of 27 from the 3-point line as they started the game flat and leaked 34 points to immediately fall behind by double digits. The 76ers were able to tighten the game at times, but they could never completely erase the deficit as they struggled against the Pistons’ defense all night. Anfernee Simons had a rough game as he shot just two of 10 from the field for his five points off the bench while Jaylen Brown shot just five of 20 from the field.

Indiana Pacers Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have split their first four games of the season so far and they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting beaten by the struggling Bucks in a 110-102 road defeat on Monday. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 22 points, six rebounds and nine assists, Pascal Siakam added 20 points with 13 rebounds and six assists while Obi Toppin chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot 41 percent from the field and 13 of 48 from the 3-point line as they got off to a great start and dominated the second quarter by 32-19 to open up an 11-point lead, but they couldn’t maintain that pace and got outscored by 60-41 in the second half to fall well short in the end. Jaime Jacquez Jr couldn’t get going as he shot just four of 13 for his eight points while Myles Turner scored just six points on two of seven shooting.

Philadelphia v Indiana Free Prediction

The 76ers are still missing Jabari Walker, Dominick Barlow and Tacko Fall, while the Pacers have ruled out TJ McConnell, Ben Sheppard and Ivica Zubac with Tyrese Haliubrton and Andrew Nembhard both questionable. The 76ers are coming into this game fresh off a tough loss, but to be fair, they were short handed while playing their third game in four nights. Now, the 76ers are expected to have all their starters back in action which spells trouble for the Pacers who are already missing a few players. The line is short for this one, so I will back the 76ers to get the job done with a win and cover on the road.

Peter Tran's Pick: Philadelphia -4.5
