Detroit Pistons vs Boston Celtics Player Prop Picks 12/12/24

Cade Cunningham is becoming a prominent score right in front of our eyes as his career progresses. With the Pistons being double-digit dogs in this game expect Cade Cunningham to have to be aggressive on the offensive side of the ball to help keep the Pistons stay close to this one. 

Derrick White Over 2.5 Three Pointers

His consistent perimeter shooting has been an asset for the Boston Celtics, particularly in games where he has stepped up as a reliable secondary scoring option behind Jayson Tatum. We saw these teams play on December 4th and in that game, Derek White made 3 three-pointers. In his six games before playing Detroit, he cleared this line in five of those games. The Pistons are also giving up 14.0  three-pointers per game to opposing teams which is well above the league average. I like Derrick White to have another big night beyond the arc. 

Jalen Duren Under 9.5 Rebounds

Jalen Duren is averaging 8.9 rebounds per game for the Detroit Pistons. His rebounding effort is split between offensive and defensive boards, with approximately 2.7 offensive rebounds and 6.2 defensive rebounds per game. Jalen Duren is a solid rebounder but has been inconsistent on the boards as of late. Looking back at his last three games he only had six rebounds against the Milwaukee Bucks five rebounds against the Boston Celtics and three rebounds against the New York Knicks. From my perspective, it looks like when Cade Cunningham returned into the lineup Duren’s rebounding numbers dropped significantly. Until Duren gets back on track I’m looking to fade him on the glass.
