Vanderbilt would then lose to Texas, Florida and Arkansas before beating Mississippi State, Kentucky and Ole Miss. After another loss to Oklahoma, the Commodores beat Auburn and Texas A&M in the next pair, giving the team a 21-4 record in the books so far.
In the Texas A&M game over the weekend, the Commodores entered the second half sporting a 36-32 advantage on the scoreboard. Vanderbilt added a 46-37 run the rest of the way, eventually taking the victory 82-69 in a home matchup. Over on the Missouri side, they mustered a pretty solid 12-3 record over their first 15 games this year. The Tigers would hit a 2-4 stretch over the next six games though, losing to Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia and Alabama. After wins over Mississippi State, South Carolina and Texas A&M from there, the Tigers took another loss to Texas. That makes for a 17-8 record in 25 games this season.
Matched up against Texas on Saturday the Tigers were sitting in the locker room with a two-point deficit 33-31. Vanderbilt vs Missouri Prediction
I’ll stick with Vanderbilt. The Commodores didn’t have too much trouble with Texas A&M over the weekend, shooting 43.9 percent from the field with 79.3 percent (23-of-29) from the line and just eight turnovers. Vanderbilt gave up just 38.9 percent shooting on the other side but also got outscored in the paint 40-28. The Commodores are a nice 5-1 in their last six games, with a lone one-point loss to Oklahoma serving as the blemish.
As for Missouri, they couldn’t keep pace with a good Texas team last weekend. The Tigers shot 42.2 percent from the field with a 34-20 deficit on the boards and a 40-28 disadvantage in the paint while giving up 47.5 percent shooting on defense. Missouri is still 3-1 in their last four games though, scoring 78 or more points in all three of those victories.
