Texas A&M Aggies Betting Preview
This year the Aggies won seven of their first 10 games, then hit a nice six-game win streak. After a loss to Tennessee on January 13, Texas A&M beat Texas, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Georgia. Next came four more losses to Alabama, Florida, Missouri and Vanderbilt, however. In the first 25 games that gave the Aggies a 17-8 overall run.
In the Wednesday matchup versus Ole Miss, the Aggies were down by five points 38-33 going into the second half. Texas A&M made a charge on a 47-39 run the rest of the way however, eventually powering out the comeback win on their home floor 80-77. Rashaun Agee was tops on 17 points with 10 rebounds and five assists for a double-double in the winning effort.
Oklahoma Sooners Betting Preview
Over on the Oklahoma side, they got off to a pretty nice start this year. Oklahoma was sitting at 11-3 across their first 14 outings. Defeats came versus Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Kentucky in the next nine games. Following victories versus Vanderbilt and Georgia in the next pair, the Sooners were sitting at 13-12 over their first 25 games.
On Wednesday in the Tennessee game, the Sooners were down by nine points going into the second half trailing 45-35. Oklahoma didn’t end up getting any closer than that on a 44-30 disadvantage the rest of the way, eventually losing 89-66. Nijel Pack led the team on 20 points with two rebounds in the losing effort while Tae Davis had 12 points with three rebounds and two assists.

Texas A&M vs Oklahoma Prediction
I’ll lean toward Oklahoma but it’s a coin flip. The Sooners also need to get over a double-digit road loss to Tennessee this week. Oklahoma shot 45.7 percent in that one but gave up 52.4 percent on the other side. The Sooners were demolished on the boards (35-17) and in the paint (46-18) while coughing up 14 turnovers. Oklahoma is still 2-1 in their last three games though, with a combined 186 points in those two victories.
Back on January 10 when these teams last met up, the Sooners took an 83-76 road loss. Oklahoma shot the same as the Aggies (both 41.9 percent) and had similar numbers on threes and free throws. The Sooners also had a 40-28 rebounding edge. The major killer however, was the 15 turnovers—and the 30-26 deficit in the paint didn’t help either. I like Oklahoma to get a little revenge in the home rematch but it’ll be a fun game regardless.
