New Mexico State vs Jacksonville State Prediction
I’ll stick with New Mexico State but I could go either way. The Aggies didn’t play too badly in their loss to Liberty this week, hitting 47.6 percent from the field with a 35-30 rebounding advantage, a perfect 7-of-7 at the line and just nine turnovers. New Mexico State is just 1-6 in their last seven games though, giving up 73 or more points in all of those defeats.
As for Jacksonville State, they couldn’t keep up with UTEP in the second half of their Wednesday loss despite showing 49 percent from the field with a 26-16 edge on points in the paint. The Gamecocks gave up 46.8 percent shooting on the other side with just 57.1 percent (8-of-14) at the line themselves. Jacksonville State is still 5-2 in their last seven though, so I could see them taking a stand in this one.
