LA Tech vs LSU Prediction

I’m going to take a stab on Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs opened up their season with a 10-point win versus Kent State, shooting a very nice 52 percent from the field alongside 36 percent (8-of-22) from 3-point range and just nine turnovers. LA Tech gave up just 36 percent shooting from the field on defense but did get out-rebounded 45-40 along the way. Game two was another win for the Bulldogs, this time by an insane 76-17 margin against an overmatched UA Monticello squad. LA Tech shot 53 percent from the field with a 39-22 rebounding advantage in that one, holding the opposition to just 16 percent shooting on defense. Needless to say however, things will get a lot more difficult in game three.

As for LSU, they rolled right past LSU New Orleans in their opener last week, shooting 51 percent from the field with a 53-38 rebounding edge. The Tigers gave up just 25 percent shooting to the Privateers but didn’t shoot great from outside (25 percent on 7-of-28). In game two the Tigers took another win by a whopping 41 points over Texas Southern. LSU shot an excellent 57 percent from the field with a 50-23 rebounding edge and just 24 percent shooting allowed on defense in that one. That said, the Tigers also hit just 23 percent (5-of-22) from 3-point range and 60 percent (15-of-25) from the line with 14 turnovers. There’s plenty of tightening up to do ahead of this matchup.
