Georgia State Panthers Betting Preview
The Panthers have had a few good runs so far this year but overall they’ve struggled in the win column. Georgia State beat Ball State, Toccoa Falls, NC Central, and Tulsa in their first seven outings, then hit a losing streak versus Kentucky, Kennesaw State, Charlotte, Auburn, Troy, Mercer, and South Alabama. Wins over Louisiana, Georgia Southern, and Coastal Carolina came next, then a losing streak versus Texas State, Arkansas State, Marshall, and James Madison. The Panthers are 2-1 since then with a loss to App State in between wins over Marshall and LA Monroe, giving them a 9-15 overall run through 24 games this year.Â
In the LA Monroe matchup on Wednesday, the Panthers were looking at a 51-30 advantage by halftime. Georgia State got even better from there on a 46-34 second half and took the win 97-64 in the end. Leading scorer Toneari Lane put up 22 points with three rebounds and four assists, while Malachi Brown had 19 points with five assists and one rebound.Â
Buffalo Bulls Betting Preview
Over on the Buffalo side, they won five of their first nine games this year. Those wins were over Old Dominion, Fredonia State, Morgan State, North Carolina A&T, and Pittsburgh-Bradford. After a losing streak versus St. Bonaventure, Georgia, Temple, Miami-OH, Ohio, Kent State, and Bowling Green, Buffalo hit a 2-2 run with wins over Western Michigan and Central Michigan around losses to Akron and Eastern Michigan. It’s been losses to Ball State and Toledo in the last pair, however, giving the Bulls a 7-15 record through 22 games so far this season.Â
Matched up against Toledo on Tuesday, the Bulls hit a 42-32 deficit in the first half. Buffalo didn’t end up getting any closer on a 45-42 run from there and took the loss 87-74 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Tyson Dunn with 19 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Tim Oboh came off the bench for 16 points and seven rebounds in 21 minutes, while Noah Batchelor added 13 points with two rebounds in 31 minutes of work.Â

Georgia State vs Buffalo PredictionÂ
I’ll lean toward Buffalo. There’s not a ton to get excited about in this one if you’re not a fan of either team, though. The Bulls weren’t great in their latest loss to Toledo, getting outpaced on the boards 41-32 and coughing up 12 turnovers for 15 Rockets points. The shooting (45.6 percent) wasn’t bad overall, though. Buffalo is giving up points in droves these days; they’ve surrendered a whopping 87 or more in each of their last four losses. That said, the Bulls are scoring well themselves with 74 or more points in four straight outings.Â
As for Georgia State, they took care of a struggling LA Monroe team pretty well in their last game, shooting a smooth 59.7 percent from the field with 50 percent (15-of-30) from 3-point range and 36 rebounds. The Panthers have hit 76 or more points in five straight games themselves, so this one should be a pretty high-total finish. You could make a case either way, but I like the Bulls to eke one out at home.Â
