The Catamounts have three games in the books thus far, and they’ve managed to win two of them. The opener was a fairly easy 100-61 blowout victory over Bob Jones. Game two was WCU’s first loss, a 67-54 affair versus Queens.

I’m going to stay with Wake Forest. The Deacons need a good bounce-back after a pretty sloppy showing versus Xavier, though. The shooting (46.8 percent) and rebounding (32) weren’t too bad, but Wake Forest really shot themselves in the foot with 18 turnovers.

As for WCU, they’ve done well in a pair of mismatched wins, notching a combined 199 points in that pair. That said, the Catamounts couldn’t buy a basket in the Queens game, hitting 31.3 percent from the field and 14.3 percent (3-of-21) from outside. If Western Carolina doesn’t get it going quickly here, Wake Forest should roll.
