The New York Knicks invade the Rocket Arena to battle the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.
New York Knicks Betting Preview
The New York Knicks have been in fine form as they’ve won four of last five games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after making light work of the slumping Bulls in a 135-105 home win on Wednesday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 33 points on 10 of 17 shooting, OG Anunoby added 18 points on three of 10 shooting while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 17 points and 12 rebounds on five of five shooting. As a team, the Knicks shot 51 percent from the field and 17 of 40 from the 3-point line as they swarmed the Bulls from the very start and exploded for 84 points in the first half to lead by as many as 44 points, before they pulled all of their starters early.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t been at their best lately as they’ve dropped three of their past five games overall, but they will be feeling better after making light work of the 76ers in a 119-95 home win last night. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, Evan Mobley added 22 points with six rebounds and four assists while James Harden chipped in with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 45 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running with 33 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, but this win was more about their defense as they restricted the 76ers to just 41 points in the second half, holding them to just 36 percent shooting from the field.
New York v Cleveland Free Prediction
The Knicks are still playing without the injured Josh Hart, while the Cavaliers are keeping an eye on Jarrett Allen and Jaylon Tyson who are both questionable.
It’s certainly tempting to take the Cavaliers as the home underdog after what we saw from them last night, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort on zero days’ rest against a fully rested Knicks squad who haven’t played since Wednesday. This should be a close contest, but with the line so short, I like the Knicks to take advantage and escape with a narrow win and cover on the road.
