The New York Knicks and Boston Celtics are set to clash in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 8:00 PM ET at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Knicks currently lead the series 3–2, following a 127–102 loss in Game 5.

In Game 5, the Celtics delivered a commanding performance to stay alive in the series. Derrick White led Boston with 34 points, including seven three-pointers, while Jaylen Brown contributed 26 points and 12 assists.  The Celtics’ offense was firing on all cylinders, and their defense effectively contained the Knicks’ key players. The Celtics continue to be without star forward Jayson Tatum, who is sidelined with an Achilles injury. Kristaps Porziņģis is listed as questionable for Game 6. The Knicks have no significant injury concerns heading into the matchup.

Jaylen Brown Over 25.5 Points

Brown is averaging 22.2 points per game, ranking 22nd in the league. His shooting efficiency included a field goal percentage of 46.3%, contributing to his role as a key scorer for the team. In the playoffs, Brown elevated his scoring, averaging 25.4 points per game over nine appearances. When Tatum has been out for the Celtics, we see Brown step up in a big way. Tatum missed game 2 in Boston’s first-round series against the Magic, and Brown scored 36 in that game. In Tuesday’s game 5, Brown scored 26 points. If Boston wants to keep their season alive in MSG, Brown will need to score 26+ in this game.

Josh Hart Over 12.5 Points

Hart is averaging 13.6 points per game, ranking 75th in the league. Hart’s shooting efficiency was notable, with a field goal percentage of 52.5%, placing him 20th among all players. In the playoffs, Hart maintained his strong performance, averaging 13.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists over 11 games. Hart is coming off a massive game where he scored 24 points in game 5 of this series. Boston has done a good job at slowing down Brunson and KAT, which has forced guys like Brunson to step up when it comes to a scoring perspective.

Derrick White Over 4.5 Three Pointers

White is averaging 3.5 made three-pointers per game on 9.1 attempts, achieving a 38.4% success rate from beyond the arc.  This performance contributed to his career-high average of 16.4 points per game. In the playoffs, White continued to be a reliable threat from deep. Notably, in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the New York Knicks, he scored 34 points, including seven three-pointers, leading the Celtics to a 127–102 victory and keeping their postseason hopes alive. Without Tatum in the lineup, expect White to continue to be active from beyond the arc.
