We were in this position a couple of weeks ago when the Wizards and Jazz squared off. The Wizards were 5.5-point favorites, and while they won, the Jazz covered the number. We also saw the Jazz as favorites over the Raptors. They lost outright. We were correct in both games. Backing the Wizards or the Jazz in the favorite role is terrible business, as these are two of the worst teams in the league and neither side should be trying to win at this stage of the season. If anything, the Wizards have played their best ball over the last month or so, and that includes beating the Pistons and Nuggets as double-digit underdogs. Don’t lay points with bad teams not even trying to win during the last month of the season. Give me the points with the Wizards.
