The Miami Heat invade the Rocket Arena to do battle with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Here’s a Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction. This article will include a Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers Pick.
Miami Heat Betting Preview
The Miami Heat have been in decent form lately as they've won three of their past four games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after blowing past the lowly Wizards in a 106-90 home win on Monday. Bam Adebayo led the team with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists, Duncan Robinson added 17 points off the bench while Tyler Herro and Pelle Larsson scored 16 points each. As a team, the Heat shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line. They did all their damage in the first half, outscoring the Wizards by 55-36 which allowed them to cruise in the second half and rest some starters early.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been on fire as they've racked up 15 wins from their last 16 games and they will be aiming for a season-high 12th straight victory after blowing past the Bulls in a 139-117 road win last night. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, Jarrett Allen added 25 points with 17 rebounds and three assists on 10 of 11 shooting while Darius Garland chipped in with 19 points and seven assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 46 percent from the field and 17 of 48 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and trailed by 15 points. But they chipped away at the deficit and finally exploded for 43 points in the fourth quarter to extend their win streak to 11 games. The Cavaliers will take on the Hornets after this game.
Why the Cleveland Cavaliers will win
- The Cavaliers have won each of their last 10 night games.
- The Heat have lost each of their last six road games against Central Division opponents following a win.
- The Cavaliers have covered the spread in each of their last six games against Eastern Conference opponents.
- The Heat have failed to cover the spread in nine of their last 10 road games against Eastern Conference opponents following a win.
Why the Miami Heat will win
- The underdogs have won each of the Heat's last three games at Rocket Arena.
- The Cavaliers have lost seven of their last eight games against Heat teams that held a losing record.
- The Cavaliers have failed to cover the spread in each of their last five games when playing with a rest disadvantage against the Heat.
- The road team has covered the spread in each of the Cavaliers' last four games.
Total Points Facts
- Nine of the Cavaliers' last 10 home games on the second leg of a back-to-back have gone OVER the total points line.
- Seven of the Heat's last eight games against Central Division opponents have gone OVER the total points line.
Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction
The Heat are still missing Jaime Jacquez Jr, and they have Davion Mitchell listed as questionable, while the Cavaliers should have a full squad for this one with Evan Mobley returning to the lineup after being tested last night. The Heat have managed to beat a couple of struggling teams the Hawks and the Wizards to build some momentum. However, I don't think their good form will continue against this surging Cavaliers team who are just running through teams at the moment. There is always a chance that the Cavaliers rest a player or two, given that this is their second game of a back-to-back set. But that still isn't enough to stop me from taking the Cavaliers to get the win and cover at home.
