The Miami Heat have been in poor form as they've lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting trampled by the Bucks in a 125-96 road defeat on Thursday. Kel'el Ware led the team in scoring with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks, Tyler Herro added 21 points with nine assists while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists. As a team, the Heat shot 37 percent from the field and 12 of 51 from the 3-point line as they struggled from the start and could never recover after getting dominated by 44-25 in the second quarter. 

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in terrible form as they've lost 10 of their last 11 games overall and they will be eager to snap a five-game losing streak after getting scorched by the Suns in a 108-84 loss on Wednesday. Keon Johnson led the team with 20 points on nine of 16 shooting, Jalen Wilson added 15 points while Nic Claxton chipped in with 10 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, the Nets shot just 37 percent from the field and seven of 36 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and scored just 16 points in the first quarter to trail by double digits right till the fourth quarter where they scored just 16 points again.

The Heat are still missing Josh Richardson, while the Nets are still missing a bunch of players and they are keeping eyes on Ben Simmons and D'Angelo Russell who are both listed as questionable. The Heat could really do with a win to breathe some life into their season, but it's hard to trust them, even against a slumping team like the Nets who are riding a five-game losing streak. The line is hefty for this one, so while I think the Heat get the much-needed win, still don't trust them enough to say that they will cover the spread on the road.
