The Boston Celtics have been in pretty good form as they've won eight of their last 13 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Lakers in a 117-96 road defeat on Thursday. Kristaps Porzingis led the team with 22 points on nine of 16 shooting, Jaylen Brown added 17 points with eight rebounds while Jayson Tatum chipped in with 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists. As a team, the Celtics shot just 38 percent from the field and 14 of 41 from the 3-point line as they started the game without any level of urgency and quickly found themselves in trouble when they trailed by 67-48 going into halftime. Things got marginally better in the second half, but the Celtics just left themselves too much ground to make up with plenty of players struggling with their shot. Jrue Holiday shot just one of six to finish with just three points while Payton Pritchard shot just two of 12 for his seven points off the bench. 

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been struggling for form as they've lost five of their last seven games, but they will be full of confidence following their 121-115 road win over the Thunder on Thursday. Spencer Dinwiddie led the team with 28 points on 11 of 14 shooting, Kyrie Irving added 24 points on eight of 17 shooting while PJ Washington chipped in with 22 points, 19 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. As a team, the Mavericks shot 52 percent from the field and 14 of 31 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and poured in 60 points in the first half to keep pace with the Thunder before they opened the third quarter with a 23-8 run to take control and escape with one of their best wins of the season.
