Pick details
LA Clippers (13-9) vs Minnesota Timberwolves (10-10)
December 4, 2024 at 10:30 PM EST
The Line: Betting Odds: LA Clippers +138 / Minnesota Timberwolves -164 — Over/Under: 210
On December 4th, the Minnesota Timberwolves will face the Los Angeles Clippers in a Western Conference showdown. The Timberwolves are coming off a dominant 29-point victory and are led by Anthony Edwards, who is averaging 26.7 points per game. Meanwhile, the Clippers, who have been playing well with solid wins over teams like the Nuggets, will look to lean on stars like Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac for offensive and defensive support.
Both teams will be trying to build momentum for the rest of the season, with the Timberwolves focusing on maintaining their strong offensive play and the Clippers aiming for consistent contributions from their role players.
Â
James Harden Under 23.5 Points
James Harden has averaged 22.3 points per game on 34.4 minutes per game. Harden’s field goal shooting stands at 45.6%, with a 3-point shooting percentage of 35.0%. Additionally, he has been successful from the free-throw line, hitting 89.5% of his attempts. His scoring has been complemented by solid playmaking and overall contributions on both sides of the court.
James Harden is coming off a massive game against the Nuggets dropping 39 points. This is a spot that I want to sell high on James Harden. He’s going against this Minnesota Timberwolves defense that’s one of the best in the league. They are only giving up 108.8 points per game which is the fifth-fewest in the league. To add onto that they’re also only giving up 11.6 three-pointers per game to opposing teams which is the fewest in the league. This isn’t the spot to take the over on James Harden’s props.
Ivica Zubac Over 11.5 Rebounds
Ivica Zubac has been a strong presence on the boards in the 2024-25 NBA season, averaging 12.4 rebounds per game across 22 games played. His rebounding stats are quite impressive, with 4.0 offensive rebounds and 8.3 defensive rebounds per game. Zubac has maintained a solid field goal percentage of 60.7%, contributing significantly to his team averaging a double-double (15.3 points and 12.4 rebounds per game).
I’ve been cashing in on taking the over on Zubac’s rebounding props all season long. We’ve seen him soar over his rebound line and seven out of his last 10 games. This will be a tough matchup going against Minnesota who has one of the best rebounders in the league with Rudy Gobert. With that being said I still think Zubac does enough to get over this line of 11.5 rebounds once again.
Anthony Edwards Under 27.5 Points
As expected Anthony Edwards has been putting up impressive scoring numbers in this NBA season. He is averaging 26.7 points per game, with a shooting percentage of 44.6% from the field. His 3-point shooting is also solid at 42.3%, hitting 4.5 three-pointers per game. Additionally, he is contributing 5.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
Anthony Edwards is one of the best scores in the NBA this is a tough matchup for him. The Clippers are only giving up 107 points per game to opposing teams which is the fourth fewest in the league league. They play really strong perimeter defense which will hinder Anthony Edwards’s ability to score throughout this game. Anthony Edwards is coming off a game where he only scored eight points against the Los Angeles Lakers and I don’t think this is the game he’s going to bounce back and clear a line this high.
