The Milwaukee Bucks will be hoping for a return to title contention after winning 49 regular season games, only to get knocked out by the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. An injury to Giannis Antetokounmpo really exposed the team’s lack of depth, especially with players like Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez all struggling. In terms of offseason moves, the Bucks traded away Malik Beasley and acquired Taurean Prince, Gary Trent Jr, and Delon Wright. Antetokounmpo will likely return to the MVP conversation if he can stay healthy, but the pressure will be on Lillard who really underperformed in his first season with his new squad. 

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to move on from a disappointing season as they won 47 games before getting bounced by the Knicks in the first round of the playoffs. Joel Embiid endured another injury-riddled season causing him to miss two months and he has already been ruled out for the first week of the season. Both teams are shorthanded to start the season with the Bucks still missing Khris Middleton who is dealing with an ankle injury, while the 76ers are going to be without Joel Embiid and Paul George.
