It looks like it could be a long season for West Georgia as they have lost each of their first four games of the season. Two games ago against Tennessee Tech, West Georgia scored 73 points but they ended up losing by three points. In the last game against South Florida, West Georgia scored only 55 points and they ended up losing by 19 points. Shelton Williams-Dryden had a strong game putting up 20 points, eight rebounds, and one assist but off the bench there just wasn’t enough production. In this game, West Georgia is going to need the bench to be more productive. 

Troy Has Lost Back to Back Games

Troy got out to a fast start but they are struggling heading into this game having lost two games in a row, Two games ago against Arkansas, Troy scored 49 points while the defense gave up 65 points. In the last game against Oregon, Troy scored 61 points while the defense gave up 82 points and that led to the 21-point defeat. In the first half, the offense scored only 23 points and that led to the defeat. Troy shot 37.3 percent from the field and only 12 percent from behind the three-point line. Myles Rigsby put up 15 points and two assists. He was the only player to score in double figures and they are going to need a more balanced attack. Troy will take on UTSA, Merrimack, and Eastern Kentucky after this one.

Troy vs West Georgia Prediction

It really appears it’s going to be a long season for West Georgia and I really don’t trust their offense. West Georgia in the last game only scored 55 points and they are really going to really struggle to get the offense going here. Troy scored 61 points but overall they are the better offensive team and they are going to get out to a fast start here. Troy is going to end up cruising here. Back Troy against the spread here.
