Norfolk State Spartans Betting Preview
The Spartans have three games in the can so far this year, and they’ve won all of them by sizable margins. First came a 96-41 win over Wilkes-Barre last Monday, then a 104-60 blowout versus VA Lynchburg two days later.
In game three versus James Madison, Norfolk State was in trouble with a one-point deficit at the break. The Spartans rallied on a 51-36 run from there, however, and won it 83-69. Christian Ings led the team with 22 points, five rebounds and one assist. Norfolk State will take on Hampton and Stanford after this game.
William & Mary Tribe Betting Preview
Over on the Tribe’s side, they got off to a soft start with a matchup against Dickinson College. William & Mary jumped out to a 42-19 halftime lead and allowed just 17 points from there in an 84-36 blowout. Gabe Dorsey was the team’s leading scorer on 16 points.
In game two versus Radford, the Tribe fell into the loss column for the first time. William & Mary was down 42-39 by halftime and ended up with an 89-77 loss after failing to get closer. Both Chase Lowe and Noah Collier (seven rebounds) led the team with 15 points.

Norfolk State vs William & Mary Prediction
I’ll stick with Norfolk State. Granted, the Spartans have had a couple of easy matchups so far this year but they’ve taken care of business well in each outing. Norfolk State posted a nice 60 percent shooting in their win over James Madison, which helped offset the 40-26 rebounding deficit. The major blemish was the lopsided 19-0 deficit on offensive boards. That’ll get Norfolk State into trouble if they can’t get more aggressive on the glass.
As for William & Mary, they shot 34.5 percent from the field with 11 turnovers and a 41-34 rebounding deficit in their loss to Radford. The Tribe will have some momentum here if they can generate second-chance scoring opportunities, but all things considered, I think Norfolk State takes the cover/win.
