Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Preview

The Jaguars had something of an overachieving season in 2025, improving on their 2024 mark of 4-13 and flipping it to go 13-4. It was the team’s first 10-win season since 2017, and they would clinch the AFC South title. Unfortunately for the Jags however, they would lose a tough game versus the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Playoffs, falling 27-24.

In their opener last weekend versus the Cleveland Browns, the Jags played a pretty nice game. Jacksonville was up 24-0 by the end of the first half, then added 10 more points from there in an eventual 34-10 victory. QB Trevor Lawrence was 18-of-23 for 245 yards and four touchdowns. Tops in receiving was Parker Washington with five catches for 83 yards and a score.

Denver Broncos Betting Preview

Over on the Denver side, they won a string of close games in 2025, powering their way to a nice 14-3 overall record. The Broncos tied the franchise record for victories (1998) with that run, also bagging their first AFC West division championship and No. 1 seed since 2015. Denver took out the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Playoffs but lost the AFC Championship to the New England Patriots.

In the Monday matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos were all tied up after one quarter and went into the locker room down just seven points. Denver was outscored 17-3 the rest of the way however, leading to a 31-10 loss. QB Bo Nix was 17-of-28 for 131 yards, one TD and one pick. JK Dobbins rushed eight times for 36 yards in the defeat as well.

Jaguars vs Broncos Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Jaguars here but you could argue it either way. Sure, it was a home game against the Browns, but Jacksonville looked good in their opener last weekend. The Jaguars posted 360 total yards with 6.4 yards per play and 23 first downs without a turnover. The defense gave up just 14 first downs and 1-of-8 on third downs alongside two takeaways on the other side. Most people have Jacksonville pegged for a regression this year, but if they continue to show up in winnable games they’ve got a good shot at a return to the playoffs. This weekend’s matchup will be a better barometer of where the Jags stand at this point in the early-going.

As for Denver, they didn’t play all that well in a tricky road opener versus the Chiefs. The Broncos gained only 176 total yards (61 rushing) with nine first downs, 2-of-12 on third-down tries and two turnovers. The defense surrendered 220 rush yards and 9-of-17 on third downs on the other side. Denver can certainly turn it around and play better here, but they’ve got lots to improve upon stats-wise. Should be a pretty good matchup overall.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars +2.5
