Chicago Bears Betting Preview

The Bears limped into their early bye week with a 2-2 record, beating the Cowboys and Raiders after losses to the Vikings and Lions. Since then Chicago has lost only two games versus the Ravens and Packers. The wins otherwise have come versus the Commanders, Saints, Bengals, Giants, Vikings, Steelers, Eagles, Browns and Packers. That gives Chicago an 11-4 overall record this year.

In the Packers game last Saturday the Bears were down 6-0 after the first half. Chicago rallied with 13 fourth-quarter points to force overtime and eventually won it 22-16 in the end. QB Caleb Williams went 19-of-34 for 250 yards and two scores while D’Andre Swift had 13 carries for 58 yards. DJ Moore added five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown in the winning effort.

San Francisco 49ers Betting Preview

Over on the Niners’ side, they opened the year at 6-4 with losses to the Jaguars, Bucs, Texans and Rams. The wins otherwise came versus the Seahawks, Saints, Cardinals, Rams, Falcons, Giants, Cardinals, Panthers and Browns. After the bye week, San Francisco took out Tennessee to make for a 10-4 overall record across their first 14 games.

In the Monday matchup versus Indianapolis, the 49ers scored double-digit points in every quarter on the way to a 48-27 win in the end. QB Brock Purdy finished with a 25-of-34 line for 295 yards, five scores and one pick. Christian McCaffrey added 21 carries for 117 yards with two receiving scores and George Kittle had 115 yards and a score off seven catches in the winning effort for the Niners.

Bears vs 49ers Prediction

I’m going to take a stab on the Bears. Chicago keeps chugging along this year, and they’re coming off a thriller win versus the rival Packers. In that one the Bears amassed 400 yards with 6.7 yards per play and 20 first downs with no turnovers. That said, Chicago was also pretty bad on third downs (2-of-11) and had 10 penalties as a team in the OT victory. Still, the Bears are in control of the NFC North and are looking great with just two more games left until the postseason. Chicago is a nice 7-1 over their last eight games.

As for the Niners, they didn’t have much issue with a depleted Colts team over the weekend. San Francisco’s defense held Indy to 312 yards, 58 rush yards, 19 first downs, 5-of-10 on third downs and had two takeaways. The offense put up 440 yards on the other side with a nice 7-of-11 on third downs. That makes five straight wins for San Francisco, and a whopping 85 points in two games since the bye. The 49ers will be a formidable opponent for the Bears; this should be a great matchup all around.
