Chicago has three preseason games under their belt this year, beginning with a 21-17 win over the Houston Texans in the Hall of Fame Game. The Bears kept their run going on August 10 with a 33-6 blowout victory over the Buffalo Bills. Ian Wheeler did most of the work in that one, rushing for 43 yards and two scores.
In game three versus the Cincinnati Bengals, the Bears kept their preseason spotless so far. Chicago scored 24 points across the middle two quarters during a 27-3 blowout victory. QB Tyson Bagent went 7-for-8 for 87 yards and two scores. Both were to Dante Pettis, who caught three balls for 53 yards.

Over on the Chiefs’ side, they dropped their first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-13. Kansas City gave up points in every quarter in the defeat. Patrick Mahomes stepped in briefly to complete three of his four passes for 27 yards. Carson Steele had a TD and 29 yards on four carries.
In game two against the Detroit Lions, Kansas City fell once again. The Chiefs were outscored 12-7 in the second half during a 24-23 result. Mahomes went 8-of-14 for 93 yards this time. Deneric Prince led the rush with seven carries for 47 yards, and Cornell Powell caught a 64-yard touchdown.

Chicago Bears vs Kansas City Chiefs Prediction
I’m going to lean toward the Bears again. Probably not touching it, though. Chicago has looked pretty good in exhibition play so far this year, but their offense in the Bengals game left something to be desired. The Bears posted 299 yards (209 passing) but only 15 first downs and 2-of-10 on third-down tries. Conversely, Chicago bagged three turnovers on defense and benefitted from the Bengals’ 11 penalties.
As for KC, I could see them winning easily here if they leave their bigger names in for a while. The Chiefs did cough up a whopping 459 yards (342 passing) against the Lions, but they also managed three turnovers. Kansas City’s 13 first downs and 4-of-14 third-down conversion rate aren’t super inspiring, though.
