Mathews has also had issues at times with consistency and location, so we’ll see. Gausman has been a mess for much of the season, but he has a 3.86 ERA at home. The Blue Jays also have a lineup capable of exposing shaky pitchers. The Blue Jays need to pile up the wins if they’re going to sneak into the wild card race. Taking advantage of a pitcher making his big league debut is a decent spot. Give me the Jays.
