The Philadelphia Phillies come into this one looking to build on their series-opening 6-4 win over the Cubs from Tuesday’s matchup. The win put the Phillies on the fast track to build on their series unbeaten run, which features a split with the Marlins last weekend as well as series wins over the Tigers and Diamondbacks over the last week and a half as well.

Why the Philadelphia Phillies will win

Chicago Cubs Recap

The Chicago Cubs will try to bounce back after their loss to the Phillies to start the set on Tuesday. The loss was just another brick in the wall for the Cubs who have had series losses to the Brewers, Giants and Mets over the last week and a half.

Cubs Trying To Find Some Answers

Entering Tuesday’s action, Cody Bellinger leads the Cubs with 75 hits including 13 doubles, 9 home runs and 34 RBIs. Nico Hoerner has 70 hits, 14 doubles and a .248 batting average while Christopher Morel has a team-high 15 home runs and 45 RBIs. Why the Chicago Cubs will win

Philadelphia Phillies vs Chicago Cubs Prediction

Give me the Phillies. I’ve been an Imanaga fan for the better part of the season, but as much as I like Imanaga, he has to have run support and I don’t trust the Cubs to provide that enough to be able to back him up in this spot with Wheeler on the other side. The Phillies may be down Harper and Schwarber, but there’s still lots of pop in the Phillies’ lineup and I think Philadelphia ends up with another win here.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Philadelphia -115
