In this article, we will formulate an Orioles vs Tigers prediction for this MLB game on Saturday, April 26th at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB doubleheader.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

The Detroit Tigers are 15-10 this season after they won two out of three against the Padres by scores of 6-4, 0-2, and 6-0. In their game three win, the Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back in the easy win. Detroit recorded 10 hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Dingler and Malloy, who both had two RBIs in the win. The Tigers started Olson, who allowed just two hits over 7.1 innings in the win, while Kahnle and Vest finished off the shutout.

Prior to that series, the Tigers won three out of four against the Royals, but did lose two out of three against the Brewers before that. Detroit has won five of its last seven games, and they are currently first in the AL Central standings. The Detroit pitching staff has a 2.94 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP and a .210 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 112 runs with a .246 batting average and a .323 on-base percentage this season. Spencer Torkelson has led Detroit with seven home runs and 21 RBIs, while Kerry Carpenter has added five home runs and 11 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Detroit in game one is Casey Mize, who is 3-1 with a 2.22 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP over 24.1 innings pitched this season. The projected starting pitcher for game two is Keider Montero, who is 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA and a 1.93 WHIP over 9.1 innings this year.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

The Baltimore Orioles are 10-14 this year after they lost two out of three against the Nationals by scores of 0-7, 3-4, and 2-1. In their game three win, Baltimore trailed 1-0 early in the game, but they scored the last two runs to get the big win. The Orioles recorded four hits in the game and they committed one error, while they were led by O’Hearn and Mullins, who both had one RBI in the win. Baltimore started Povich, who allowed four hits and one earned run over 6.2 innings in the win, while Cano, Soto, and Bautista closed out the game.

Prior to that series, the Orioles lost two out of three against the Reds, but did win two out of three against the Guardians. Baltimore has lost four of their last six games, and they are currently last in the AL East standings. The Baltimore pitching staff has a 5.25 ERA with a 1.54 WHIP and a .291 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 103 runs with a .223 batting average and a .296 on-base percentage this season. Cedric Mullins has led Baltimore with six home runs and 20 RBIs, while Heston Kjerstad has added three home runs and 12 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for game one is Charlie Morton, who is 0-5 with a 10.89 ERA and a 2.23 WHIP over 20.2 innings pitched. The projected starting pitcher for Baltimore in game two is Brandon Young, who is 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA and a 2.50 WHIP over 4.0 innings pitched this year.

Orioles vs Tigers Prediction

Detroit comes into this series as one of the top teams in the AL to start the season, while Baltimore is trying to get out of last place in the NL East. The Tigers are 10-3 at home this year, while the Orioles are 5-8 on the road. Baltimore is really struggling to score runs right now, as they have scored a total of seven runs in their last four games. Detroit is the much better team right now, and I expect them to roll over Morton in game one. In game two, I don’t like either starting pitcher, and I think we will see plenty of runs.
