The New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox will meet on Monday night in the opening game of a four‑game American League series at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois.

New York Yankees Betting Preview

The New York Yankees enter Monday’s contest with a 59–46 overall record (2nd in the American League East) and a robust 33–23 mark on the road. The Yankees offense has been competitive this season. New York has compiled 488 runs scored (10th in MLB), 157 doubles, a .234 team batting average and a massive 151 home runs which ranks second in Major League Baseball.

The Yankees arrive at tomorrow night’s game in above average form. New York has won five of the team’s last seven games played this season, including an impressive 1–0 shutout victory over the Philadelphia Phillies two days ago.

New York will turn to left hander Max Fried in this contest. In eleven starts made this season, Fried has compiled a 4-3 win‑loss record, a 2.97 ERA, a 0.96 WHIP and 57 strikeouts, while allowing 44 hits and 20 walks in 66.2 innings pitched. Max Fried certainly pitched at a high level in his most recent outing, allowing zero earned runs, while scattering one hit and one walk across five innings in the Yankees 2-0 defeat of the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier this week.

The New York Yankees lineup features second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. and first baseman Ben Rice. Chisolm Jr. enters this contest with 16 home runs, 13 doubles, 37 walks, 43 RBIs, 27 stolen bases and a .708 OPS. Ben Rice has compiled a .273 batting average, 72 RBIs (5th in MLB), 31 home runs (4th in MLB) and a .945 OPS.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

The Chicago White Sox enter Saturday night’s matchup with a 55–49 overall record (1st in the American League Central) and a 32–19 mark at home. Chicago has played subpar baseball recently, losing three of the team’s last five games, including a 10–0 loss to the Texas Rangers last week.

Chicago will start left hander Noah Schultz in tomorrow’s game. In twelve starts made in 2026, Schultz has compiled a 3–7 record, a 6.04 ERA, a 1.46 WHIP, and 49 strikeouts, while allowing 54 hits and 29 walks in 56.2 innings pitched. Schultz has struggled recently, allowing four or more earned runs in three of his last six starts made this season.

Shifting our focus to the Chicago offense, the White Sox lineup features second baseman Chase Meidroth who has amassed a .276 batting average, 8 home runs, 18 doubles, 39 walks, 37 RBIs, 2 stolen bases and a .736 OPS.

New York Yankees vs. Chicago White Sox Prediction

In my opinion, this matchup favors the New York Yankees. Why? New York starting pitcher Max Fried pitched at a high level in his most recent outing, allowing zero earned runs, while scattering one hit and one walk across five innings in the Yankees 2-0 defeat of the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier this week, while Chicago hurler Noah Schultz has struggled recently, allowing four or more earned runs in three of his last six starts made this season. Having stated that, the Yankees are the clear side to be on in this contest. I am backing the New York Yankees on the moneyline in this game.
