In this article, we will formulate a Mets vs Twins prediction for this MLB game on Monday, April 14th, at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

New York Mets Betting Preview

The New York Mets are 10-5 this year after they won two out of three against the Athletics by scores of 7-6, 1-3, and 8-0. In that game three win, the Mets were held scoreless for the first five innings, but they scored eight runs in the last four for the win. New York recorded 11 hits and committed one error in the game, while they were led by Vientos and Torrens, who both had two RBIs in the win. New York started Senga, who allowed four hits and zero earned runs over 7.0 innings in the win, while Minter and Kranick finished the shutout.

Prior to this series, the Mets won two out of three against the Marlins and swept the Blue Jays in three games. The New York pitching staff has a 2.30 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP and a .216 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 61 runs with a .215 batting average and a .302 on-base percentage this season. Pete Alonso has led New York with four home runs and 18 RBIs, while Brandon Nimmo has added four home runs and nine RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for New York is Clay Holmes, who is 1-1 with a 4.30 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP over 14.2 innings pitched this season.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Minnesota Twins are 5-11 this season after they lost two out of three games against Detroit by scores of 6-7, 0-4, and 5-1. In that game three win, Minnesota had their lead cut to 2-1 in the fourth, but they scored the last three runs in the game to pull away with the win. The Twins recorded nine hits in the game, and they were led by France and Buxton, who both went 2-4 with one RBI in the win. Minnesota started Woods Richardson, who allowed five hits and one earned run over 5.0 innings pitched in the win, while Varland, Sands, and Jax collected holds out of the bullpen.

Prior to this series, the Twins lost three out of four games against the Royals and two out of three against the Astros. The Minnesota pitching staff has a 3.85 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP and a .239 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 55 runs with a .208 batting average and a .278 on-base percentage this season. Harrison Bader has led Minnesota with three home runs and 10 RBIs, while Byron Buxton has added three home runs and seven RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Minnesota is Joe Ryan, who is 1-1 with a 2.65 ERA and a 0.71 WHIP over 17.0 innings pitched this season.

Mets vs Twins Prediction

Minnesota comes into this series with a record of 5-11 so far this season, but they were able to get a win on Sunday and will look to turn things around here. The Twins have had some solid pitching this year, but their offense has let them down. New York is 10-5 so far this year and they have scored at least seven runs in three of their last five games. The Mets are starting Clay Holmes, who has been decent to start this year but has allowed quite a few baserunners. Minnesota is going with Joe Ryan, who has allowed one earned run or fewer in two of his three starts this year. I don’t fully trust the Minnesota offense, but I also don’t love Holmes on the mound, so I will take the Twins here.
