The Angels played the Houston Astros in their last series. LA lost the first three installments of that set before a 9-8 win Sunday. In the opener versus the Sox, the Angels took a 3-2 loss. On Wednesday LA lost 4-3 in extras. Starter Jose Suarez lasted 5.0 innings with three earned.

In the starter slot for Thursday, the Angels are going with Tyler Anderson. So far Anderson is 10-14 with a 3.70 ERA in 30 starts. Anderson is 60-63 with a 4.25 ERA in 204 career games (196 starts). The Angels will play against the Rangers following this series.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

Over on the White Sox’ side, they took a sweep versus the San Diego Padres in their last set, losing 3-2, 6-2 and 4-2. On Wednesday Chicago put up nine hits in the 10-inning victory. Davis Martin gave up two earned runs in 3.2 frames as a starter.

It’ll be Chris Flexen in the start for the Sox on Thursday. This year Flexen is 2-15 with a 5.15 ERA in 32 games (29 starts). In his career, Flexen is 29-49 with a 5.00 ERA in 152 games (109 starts).

Los Angeles Angels vs Chicago White Sox Prediction

I might take a stab at the Sox here. Flexen is 0-1 in his last trio with a combined six earned runs over 16.0 innings on 20 hits and five walks. As for Anderson, he’s 0-2 in his last three with eight earned on 16 hits and five walks. There should be some early opportunities for both offenses here.

On Wednesday the White Sox posted two homers in a pretty nice offensive display. It’s difficult to imagine Chicago taking a sweep this year but this might be the time to do it.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Chicago White Sox +120
