Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

Kansas City played the Washington Nationals in their last series, winning the opener 1-0. On Wednesday Kansas City won again 3-0, then in the finale took another victory 7-4. Michael Wacha went 5.0 innings as a starter with three earned on five hits and a walk.

As a starter for Friday, the Royals are sending out Brady Singer. This year Singer is 9-12 with a 3.73 ERA in 31 starts. Singer is 36-43 with a 4.29 ERA in 126 career games (123 starts).

Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

Over on the Braves’ side, they took on the New York Mets this week. Atlanta won 5-1 on Tuesday. The remaining two games were washed out due to the weather forecast and will be made up on Monday.

In the starting pitcher role Friday, the Braves didn’t immediately announce a name.

Kansas City Royals vs Atlanta Braves Prediction

I’m going with the Braves. At least some of that is due to Singer’s recent struggles. Over his last three starts combined, Singer is 0-2 with 13 earned runs in 15.1 innings on 18 hits and eight walks. Atlanta should have some early opportunities if Singer can’t get it going.

The Braves really need to perform in this series before their big matchup with the Mets on Monday. Atlanta has scored five or more runs in three straight games, so their offense is cooking right now. I like the Braves to keep it up Friday in the opener.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Atlanta Braves -217
