The Colorado Rockies and the Philadelphia Phillies will meet on Saturday night in the second game of a three‑game National League series at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies enter Saturday’s contest with a 16–23 overall record (4th in the National League West) and an 8–12 mark on the road. The Rockies offense has performed rather well this season. Through 39 games played in 2026, the Colorado Rockies have compiled 172 runs (12th in MLB), 71 doubles (3rd in MLB), 40 home runs and a .254 team batting average which ranks sixth in Major League Baseball.

The Rockies arrive at tomorrow’s game in good form. More specifically, Colorado has won two consecutive games, including a 6–2 victory over the New York Mets earlier this week.

Colorado will turn to left‑hander Kyle Freeland in this contest. In six starts made this season, Freeland has compiled a 1–3 win‑loss record, a 5.04 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP and 24 strikeouts, while allowing 26 hits and 8 walks in 25 innings pitched. Freeland will look to rebound from his early season struggles in tomorrow’s matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Offensively, the Colorado Rockies have amassed a strong lineup featuring outfielder Troy Johnston and catcher Hunter Goodman. Troy Johnston enters this contest with a .330 batting average (8th in MLB), 2 home runs, 11 walks, 18 RBIs and an .863 OPS. Hunter Goodman has compiled 10 home runs (18th in MLB), 7 doubles, 17 RBIs and an .854 OPS.

Philadelphia Phillies Betting Preview

The Philadelphia Phillies enter tomorrow’s matchup with a 17–22 overall record (3rd in the National League East) and a 10–12 mark at home. The Phillies have played below average baseball recently, losing two of the team’s last three games played this season, including a 12–1 loss to the Athletics two days ago.

Philadelphia will start right‑hander Aaron Nola, who has been one of the most reliable hurlers in the Phillies starting pitching rotation. In seven starts made this season, Nola has compiled a 2–3 record, a 5.06 ERA, a 1.45 WHIP and 40 strikeouts, while allowing 41 hits and 13 walks in 37.1 innings pitched.

The Philadelphia Phillies have compiled a powerful lineup this season featuring Bryce Harper and Brandon Marsh. Harper enters this contest with a .282 batting average, 9 home runs (18th in MLB), 9 doubles, 23 walks, 23 RBIs, and a .929 OPS. Brandon Marsh has amassed a .333 batting average (6th in MLB), 4 home runs, 20 RBIs, 3 stolen bases and an .868 OPS.

Why the Colorado Rockies will win.

• Offensive balance. Troy Johnston and Hunter Goodman provide the Colorado Rockies with consistent offensive production.

• Current form. The Colorado Rockies arrive at tomorrow’s contest on the heels of a two-game winning streak.

• Run production. The Rockies have tallied 172 runs scored this season which ranks 12th in Major League Baseball.

Why the Philadelphia Phillies will win.

• Starting pitching edge. Aaron Nola has compiled a 2-3 win-loss record, a 1.36 WHIP and 24 strikeouts this season.

• Home field advantage. The Phillies have amassed an 8–10 record at Citizens Bank Park this season.

• Offensive production. Bryce Harper and Brandon Marsh provide a strong core to the Phillies lineup.

Colorado Rockies vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction

In my opinion, this matchup favors the Philadelphia Phillies. Philadelphia starting pitcher Aaron Nola has tallied a 2-3 record and a 1.36 WHIP in six starts made this season, while Colorado’s Kyle Freeland has allowed 26 hits and 8 walks in just 25 innings pitched in 2026. With that said, the Phillies certainly appear to be the side to be on in this contest. I am backing the Philadelphia Phillies on the moneyline in this game.
